The New Tumbler Puzzle BoxThe new Tumbler Puzzle box by Jonathan McCabe is very nice indeed. This redesigned version preserves all the clever features of the original Tumbler box at the same time new features are introduced.

And, Jonathan’s new tools have enabled him to refine his woodworking skills, as evidenced in the precise joinery this box displays.

Jonathan reproportioned this box in accordance with the Golden Ratio, and perfected his finishing techniques so now, besides being an innovative puzzle box, this large box has the characteristics of contemporary high quality fine woodworking. It is made of solid cherry, and walnut hardwoods.tb_corner_detail.JPG (10671 bytes)

The Tumbler Box requires between 8 and 20 moves to open when using it’s 4 keys. If you don’t use the 4 keys, this puzzle box is nearly impossible to solve. Each of the 15 boxes will be signed and numbered, and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity and a glossy color solution brochure. To see this box opened, click here - then use your browser’s ”Back” button to return to this page.

Like the work of the other Cleverwood Artists - Kathleen Malcolmson, Kagen Schaefer, and Eric Kelsic - Jonathan McCabes work is guaranteed for your lifetime.
