The knot of each tie is chosen to complement the figure and
color of the tie. The Olive-ash Burl tie has a Walnut or Mahogany knot, the French
Burl tie has a Walnut or mahogany knot, and the tamo tie has a Maple knot.
Each tie is cut into 12 segments for flexibility and
connected with triple strength elastic. The durable finish used protects as well as
beautifies. They weigh only ½ ounce more than a silk tie, and
are adjustable for a perfect fit.
Some of the Tamo Wooden neckties we made have been dyed with
various colored stains to bring out the figure of the wood. A dyed Tamo tie is on the
right, natural Tamo is on the left.
