Snake Cube

The little Snake Cube is popular among puzzlers because it is unusual. Unusual and difficult. Very difficult.

The cube is all one piece - that is, it’s made of 27 cube pieces that are joined together in segments to make one flexible snake like piece. Each joint rotates 360º

So, you unwind the cube into the snake shape - not too difficult, and fun.Then try to curl it back-up into the cube shape. That's very difficult. To see this puzzle unwound, click here - then use your browser’s “Back” button to return to this page.

There are two instruction diagrams provided. The first shows you the starting configuration of the snake. If you don’t have the right starting configuration of the snake you’ll never be able to wind-it-up into the cube. The second diagram shows the 17 sequential moves needed to make the cube.

All the pieces are made of dark samena hardwood and light helvea hardwood.
